Mobile App and Website that brings cultural and touristic offers closer to the citizens of Buenos Aires Province.
The client was a public institution focused on strengthening Buenos Aires Province’s technological investigation and innovation capabilities.
Its digital transformation program has among its main goals developing and stimulating industry, SME’s and cooperatives activities; supporting scientific investigation, technological innovation, and knowledge economy; and promoting tourism in order to generate jobs, growth, and production.
THE CHALLENGE
Develop a mobile app and website that bring cultural and tourism offer closer to the citizens of Buenos Aires Province.
To achieve this, an admin panel was provided in which each of the 135 municipalities of the province could manage attractive content for the users.

and process
Requirement analysis and user story breakdown was done together with the client using Kanban methodology in the project management tool Jira.
A team made up of Project Manager and developers specialized in React, React Native, PHP Laravel and GraphQL generated the solution to this challenge, which consisted in three platforms interconnected through an API: a mobile app, a responsive website for end users, and, for the content management, an admin panel with a different access per role. Additionally, the QA team made automated testing and stress tests with JMeter to measure the systems performance in terms of concurrent users.
THE RESULT
Development of an app for Android and iOS devices, and of a website where users can learn about the touristic places and events of the Buenos Aires Province. One of the main goals is a usability design maximized for the UX/UI standards.
The app was a success, and allowed the Municipalities to strengthen their relationship with the citizens which ReCreate Buenos Aires Province.
The whole platform was also integrted with BigData tools, particularly eith Google Data Studio, Tag Manager, and Firebase. With this functionality, the admins can update the information in real time to connect with the users and their interests.
The user’s profile allow access to event’s tickets, and different benefits and discounts, which can be redeemed through QR reading; They have the possibility of winning gifts accessing the trivia and raffles section.
Besides, the maps, filters by category, and intelligent search engine allow the users to find quickly the information they need.
The users of the ReCreo App can leave comments, opinions, information, and reviews.
The users can create a free account, access the platform, and create a personal profile showing their preferences and likes. This will later allow them to interact and connect with relevant ReCreos (events, places and benefits that improve local tourism).
To make the access easier, login services with Google, Apple, and Facebook were also implemented.
The offer of events, activities, and attractions are related to the user’s geolocation so they can be notified about what’s happening nearby their current location.
